Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Equipment Assembly

- Install, wire, and connect electrical components as per engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
- Assemble electrical control panels, motors, sensors, switches, heaters, and other electrical devices.
- Verify correct installation and routing of electrical wiring and conduit.
- Perform electrical modifications based on engineering or customer specifications.
- Support production teams with electrical troubleshooting during assembly.

2. Testing & Commissioning

- Perform functional and electrical testing of equipment before shipment.
- Verify the operation of motors, fans, heaters, control panels, sensors, and safety devices.
- Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, voltage, current, and grounding tests.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults identified during testing.
- Maintain accurate test documentation and quality records.
- Assist engineering teams with equipment commissioning and product validation.

3. Maintenance

- Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues involving welders, cranes, compressors, machinery, and power distribution systems.
- Assist with installation of new manufacturing equipment and facility improvements.
- Maintain electrical tools, testing instruments, and maintenance records.
- Respond to emergency electrical repairs to minimize equipment downtime.




- Support general shop maintenance activities as required.

4. Safety & Quality

- Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and electrical safety standards.
- Follow required PPE and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas using 5S principles.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable electrical codes and company quality standards.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

- ITI Electrician, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Valid electrical license/certification as required under applicable Indian regulations.
- 3 7 years of experience in electrical maintenance, manufacturing, or an industrial workplace.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment such as:
- Digital Multimeter
- Clamp Meter
- Insulation Resistance Tester (Megger)
- Continuity Tester

- Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems.
- Knowledge of three-phase electrical systems, motors, motor starters, VFDs, relays, and industrial controls.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and LOTO procedures.
