Data & BI Developer (AWS Quick Sight)

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Data & BI Developer to support the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using AWS Quick Sight. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and data engineers to transform business requirements into scalable dashboards, reports, and data products that drive decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines solid business intelligence expertise with data modeling, analytics engineering, Dashboard development and testing capabilities. This individual should be comfortable working independently, influencing dashboard design, validating data quality, and ensuring delivered products meet business expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and enhance interactive dashboards, reports, and scorecards using AWS Quick Sight.
- Translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions and intuitive visualizations.




- Develop and optimize semantic data models, datasets, and calculated fields to support reporting and analytics use cases.
- Partner with data engineering teams to define data requirements, validate source data, and improve overall data quality.
- Perform data profiling, reconciliation, and validation activities to ensure accuracy and trustworthiness of analytics products.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support for dashboards and data products.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies, reporting defects, and performance issues.
- Recommend best practices for dashboard design, visualization standards, governance, and self-service analytics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and continuously improve reporting capabilities.
- Document technical designs, business logic, data definitions, and testing results.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or related fields.
- 2+ years of hands-on AWS Quick Sight development experience.
- Strong expertise in dimensional data modeling, star schemas, semantic layers, and analytical data structures.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience querying and validating large datasets.
- Experience building executive dashboards, operational reporting, and KPI scorecards.




- Proven experience performing data validation, reconciliation, and testing of analytics products.
- Strong understanding of data quality management and root-cause analysis.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and refine reporting solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Athena, Glue, Lambda, and Lake Formation.
- Experience supporting HR, payroll and Time & Attendance reporting needs.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
