Job Title: Senior Legal Content Researcher & Editor

Location: Remote - India

About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Legal Content Researcher & Editor to join a UK based research and communications firm working with clients across the legal, tax, accounting and wider professional services sectors.

This is a hands-on writing, research and editing role for someone who is fast, highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable producing a substantial volume of high-quality content.

You will research and write articles, blogs, guides, thought-leadership pieces, research papers, website content and other editorial material across a wide range of legal, regulatory, tax, commercial and professional services topics.

Initially, the role will be focused heavily on personally researching, writing and editing content. As the content function grows, the successful candidate will help recruit, train and manage additional writers and develop into the day-to-day lead for the content team.

We are looking for someone with excellent editorial judgement, strong research ability and the ability to maintain both quality and output in a fast-paced production setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Research legal, regulatory, tax, commercial and industry topics using reliable and authoritative sources.
- Write high-quality articles, blogs, legal guides, thought-leadership pieces, research content and website copy.
- Produce content consistently against clear deadlines and output targets.
- Understand unfamiliar subjects quickly and turn complex information into clear, engaging and professional writing.
- Review, edit and proofread content for accuracy, structure, tone, grammar and readability.
- Check legal references, facts, statistics, dates and other important claims.
- Maintain strong research and source standards.
- Adapt writing style and tone across different clients, brands, audiences and subject areas.
- Update existing content when laws,



regulations or industry developments change.
- Support content publishing and formatting across Word Press or other content management systems.
- Help establish editorial guidelines, research standards, writing templates and quality-control processes.
- As the team grows, help recruit and assess new writers.
- Train and support writers, review their work and provide clear editorial feedback.
- Help manage workloads, deadlines, production targets and overall content quality.
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure content is delivered accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Journalism, English, Political Science, Communications or another relevant field.
- Excellent written English.
- Strong professional writing, editing and proofreading ability.
- Strong legal and general research skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to identify reliable and authoritative sources.
- Ability to understand complex topics and explain them clearly.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Able to produce high-quality work at pace.
- Able to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Confident taking ownership of work and making sound editorial decisions.
- Genuine interest in law, regulation, tax, business, current affairs and professional services.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following would be an advantage:

- Journalism.
- Legal writing or legal research.
- Editing or digital publishing.
- Professional content writing.




- Business, tax or financial writing.
- Law firm or professional-services content.
- Academic or policy research.
- SEO-focused content writing.
- Keyword research and search intent.
- Word Press or another CMS.
- Reviewing or mentoring other writers.

Previous formal management experience is helpful but not essential. We are open to a strong senior writer or editor who is ready to take on greater responsibility and grow into a team leadership role.
