Job Title - Lead - Civil Procurement

Location - Gurgaon

Roles and Responsibilities

Manage procurement of civil, structural, architectural and infrastructure for large size construction / building projects

Proficient in rate analysis, cost benchmarking, market price assessment and review of detailed cost comparisons for civil & structural contracts

Monitor market trends for cement, steel, RMC, finishing materials and other construction materials

Develop & implement suitable contract strategy viz. item rate/LSTK/cost plus etc

Achieve cost savings through strategic sourcing, negotiations, value engineering and market intelligence.

Identify, evaluate and develop competent vendors, subcontractors and service providers including development of contractor eco system pan India.

Independently handle end-to-end techno-commercial activities including evaluation, negotiation and contract finalization.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, contractors, consultants and project teams.

Lead commercial negotiations and support closure of contracts in line with project requirements and organizational objectives.

Coordinate with engineering, projects, planning, finance and other departments for timely contract execution.

Prepare contract summaries, comparative statements,



risk assessments and management approval notes.

Present and discuss contract recommendations and key commercial decisions with senior management for approvals.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual requirements, and project timelines.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

Solid techno-commercial understanding with independent decision-making capability.

Excellent understanding & skill of large size civil & structural contracts, negotiation, communication, contracts, taxation, logistics and stakeholder management

Ability to handle multiple packages and large-value contracts under strict timelines.

Strong analytical, commercial evaluation and contract management skills.

Capability to build long-term vendor relationships and drive value engineering initiatives.

Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement tools and improvement of process.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

6-8 years' experience into large-scale contract finalisation for construction/ infrastructure projects

Proven experience in handling high-value contracts and strategic sourcing assignments.

Exposure to contract administration, claim management and vendor performance monitoring will be an added advantage.
