Vahan is a YC-backed, AI-powered hiring marketplace connecting blue-collar talent to jobs at scale. We're looking for a Junior Accounts Executive with hands-on Zoho Books experience to support day-to-day accounting and finance administration — primarily Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, accounting entries, reconciliations, and finance admin work.
What you'll do
- Create and maintain sales invoices in Zoho Books; record customer receipts and adjust against invoices
- Maintain customer-wise receivable reports and perform regular customer account reconciliations
- Help resolve invoice and payment-related queries
- Record vendor bills and expenses in Zoho Books; verify invoices and supporting documents before accounting
- Record vendor payments, maintain vendor ledgers, and track outstanding payables with payment schedules
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies; coordinate with vendors on invoice/payment queries
- Pass routine accounting entries and perform bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations
- Support month-end closing and maintain proper documentation and accounting records
- Assist the finance team with basic MIS and accounting reports
- Handle day-to-day finance administration, including maintaining invoices and supporting records
- Coordinate with internal teams for required invoices and documents
- Support statutory compliance data preparation (GST, TDS) and assist during audits
What we're looking for
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Finance or Accounting
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance operations
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is mandatory
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
- Good understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Experience with bank, customer, and vendor reconciliation
- Positive working knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with good documentation habits
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned finance activities
