Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and experienced Furniture Designer to join our Product Designing team in Lonavala.
The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing furniture for commercial and high-end luxury residential projects, taking products from concept and benchmarking through prototyping, detailing, approvals and final production.
Roles & Responsibilities
. Identify and develop furniture ranges aligned with target-market requirements and brand positioning.
. Research international furniture trends, materials, finishes and manufacturing techniques.
. Develop furniture concepts based on project requirements, customer expectations and market trends.
. Take furniture projects from concept development and benchmarking to prototyping, technical detailing, approval and production.
. Prepare sketches, mood boards, storyboards, design presentations and product concepts.
. Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, renders and technical specifications.
. Select appropriate materials, finishes, hardware and construction techniques.
. Work closely with junior designers,



engineers, production teams and external vendors.
. Guide and supervise junior designers throughout the product-development process.
. Coordinate with PPC, Production, Purchase, Quality and Sourcing teams to resolve design and manufacturing challenges.
. Develop cost-effective solutions without compromising design, quality or functionality.
. Review prototypes and pre-production samples and ensure they meet approved design specifications.
. Conduct factory and vendor visits to inspect prototypes, samples, finishes and production quality.
. Identify manufacturing challenges and provide practical design solutions.
. Ensure furniture designs meet requirements related to ergonomics, functionality, durability and safety.
. Maintain proper documentation of drawings, specifications, revisions, samples and approvals.
. Manage multiple design projects and ensure timely completion of development activities.
. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to understand market feedback and customer requirements.
. Contribute to the development of new furniture collections for Della Luxury Products.
. Ensure consistency in design language, detailing, materials and finishes across product collections.

Education & Experience
. Master's Degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, Interior Design or a related discipline from a recognized institute.
. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in furniture design and product development.
. Strong experience in designing furniture for home and office environments.
. Experience with high-end luxury residential, commercial or hospitality projects will be an advantage.
. Strong portfolio showcasing furniture design and product-development projects.
. Strong knowledge of design techniques, materials, finishes and furniture manufacturing.
. Solid proficiency in 2D / 3D design software.
. Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
. Exposure to international branding and global design standards will be preferred.

Minimum Qualification:

Master's/ Bachelors Degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, Interior Design or a related discipline from a recognized institute.
