Role Description
The Commissioning Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for leading and managing the commissioning of building services for high-performance, sustainable projects. The role involves planning and coordinating commissioning activities, developing commissioning plans and procedures, and ensuring all systems perform according to design intent and client requirements. The Commissioning Manager collaborates closely with project teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors to review designs, supervise testing and verification, and resolve technical issues.



Day-to-day tasks include managing documentation, tracking commissioning progress, reporting on system performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and green building certification requirements. The role also includes supporting procurement decisions related to building systems, optimizing operational efficiency, and contributing to continuous improvement of commissioning processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Commissioning Management, including planning, execution, and documentation of commissioning activities for building projects.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Building Services, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and controls systems, with an emphasis on energy-efficient and sustainable solutions.
- Candidates should possess proven Project Management skills, including scheduling, resource coordination, stakeholder communication, and risk management.
- Candidates should possess experience in Contract Management and Procurement, including reviewing contracts, managing vendors, and supporting selection of systems and equipment.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field), and experience in green building or sustainability projects.
- Familiarity with green building rating systems (e.g., LEED, IGBC, GRIHA) and applicable codes and standards.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing abilities, with attention to detail and quality.
