- The Modeler is responsible for creating accurate 3D models from the Structural and/or Architectural design drawings. The models created must be in accordance with the contract specified standards. The Modeler must coordinate effectively with Project Managers and Checkers.
Responsibilities :
- Knowledge of latest Tekla structures, AUTO CAD
- Knowledge of AISC and CISC standards
- Excellent knowledge of Main Steel and Miscellaneous Structures (Stairs, ladders, Rails, Gates, etc.)
- Ability to interpret and understand architectural drawings, structural drawings and specifications
- Gather necessary information from various available sources and create accurate and complete Tekla Models as per contract drawings
- Understand engineering of simple connection design and produce explicit, concise and complete models
- Furnish drawings for approval and fabrication
- Generation and tracking of RFI's by reviewing contract drawings
- Work with custom connection applications, connections & marking plans
- Answer client queries on assigned projects
- Must be self-motivated to manage, coordinate and facilitate multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment
- Must be a team player to collaborate and achieve common goals as a coherent team
- Ability to work and deliver as Project timelines and schedules demand
