Executive – Sales Return & Repair Accounts

Purpose of the Role

To manage and control sales return accounting, repair accounting, billing activities, and related operational transactions within the jewellery manufacturing business. The role ensures accurate accounting, documentation, reconciliation, and coordination between Sales, Production, Quality, and Accounts departments.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Return Management

- Process and account for all sales return transactions.
- Verify sales return quantities, weight, purity, and supporting documents.
- Monitor and reconcile SPO-wise sales return records.
- Coordinate with Sales and Production teams for timely closure of return transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of returned jewellery inventory.

Repair Accounting

- Process repair inward transactions received against Tax Invoices.
- Generate and maintain repair accounting entries in the ERP system.
- Reconcile repair receipts, repair dispatches, and customer records.
- Ensure proper accounting treatment of repair charges and material movements.

Melting & Recovery Accounting

- Verify sales return pieces issued for melting.
- Coordinate with Quality and Production teams for purity and diamond verification.
- Maintain records of melting, recovery, and inventory adjustments.
- Ensure proper accounting of recovered gold and diamonds.

Billing & Documentation





- Generate invoices, credit notes, debit notes, and Delivery Challans.
- Ensure accuracy of billing transactions and supporting documents.
- Maintain compliance with GST and statutory requirements.

Reconciliation & Controls

- Reconcile sales returns with inventory and accounting records.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Ensure timely closure of open accounting transactions.

MIS & Reporting

- Prepare monthly sales return reports.
- Generate repair accounting reports and analysis.
- Submit reconciliation reports to management.
- Track return trends and operational variances.

System & Process Support

- Resolve ERP and accounting-related issues.
- Coordinate with IT for system corrections and enhancements.
- Ensure data accuracy across accounting and operational systems.

Experience

- 3 to 8 years of experience in Jewellery Manufacturing Accounts, Sales Return Accounting, or Repair Accounting.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of Jewellery ERP Systems SAP.
- Understanding of Gold, Diamond, and Purity Accounting.
- GST and Tax Invoice Knowledge.
- Strong Reconciliation Skills.
- Advanced MS Excel.
- Knowledge of Jewellery Manufacturing Processes.
- Positive Coordination and Communication Skills.
