MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
• Strong working knowledge of SEBI, IFSCA and FEMA regulations, with hands-on exposure to AIFs, Mutual Funds, Portfolio Managers, Stock Brokers, Fintech and GIFT City/IFSC entities.
• Proven experience in regulatory advisory, legal drafting, licensing/registrations, compliance assessments and regulatory filings, with strong research, analytical and client-management skills.
• Preferably with a law firm or in-house legal team handling financial regulatory matters.

Our client is a Law firm with expertise in investment funds, asset management, financial regulations, fund structuring, regulatory compliance, and transaction advisory for domestic and global financial institutions.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Advise clients on regulatory frameworks covering Mutual Funds, Portfolio Managers, AIFs, Stock Brokers, Research Analysts, Investment Advisors, SEBI-regulated entities, GIFT City/IFSC entities, Fintech businesses, FEMA, financial services and lending activities.
• Draft, review and negotiate legal opinions, regulatory advisories, transaction documents, policies, compliance documents, applications, representations and regulatory submissions.
• Assist clients with regulatory licensing, registrations, compliance assessments, audits, inspections, enforcement matters and structuring of financial products/services.




• Conduct legal and regulatory research and provide practical, business-oriented advice on complex financial regulatory matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments and prepare regulatory updates, alerts and client communications.
• Collaborate with Corporate, M&A;, Banking & Finance and Dispute Resolution teams on
• cross-practice regulatory matters.
• Exposure to mutual funds, portfolio managers, stockbrokers, alternative investment funds, fintech regulations and regulatory due diligence.
• Experience interacting with regulatory authorities or assisting clients in regulatory filings and representations.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• 3–4 years of post-qualification experience with a law firm or in-house legal team, handling financial regulatory matters.
• Solid knowledge of SEBI, IFSCA and FEMA regulations, along with exposure to the Fintech regulatory landscape.
• Experience in advising financial institutions, fintech companies or other regulated entities.
• Excellent legal drafting, research, analytical, communication and client-management skills, with the ability to independently manage matters and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
