Job Description:

Safety Officer Job Description
1 Implement and monitor EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies and
procedures.
2 Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify hazards.
3 Ensure compliance with applicable Factories Act, OSHA/EHS requirements, fire
safety regulations, and company SOPs.
4 Monitor protected handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals, solvents,
APIs, and hazardous materials.
5 Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), HIRA, and recommend
corrective actions.
6 Investigate accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions and
prepare reports.
7 Conduct safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and
visitors.
8 Ensure proper use of PPE and monitor PPE compliance.
9 Coordinate fire safety, emergency preparedness, mock drills,



evacuation
procedures, and first-aid arrangements.
10 Monitor safety requirements for production, warehouse, laboratory, utility,
maintenance, and engineering activities.
11 Check safety aspects of equipment, machinery, electrical systems, pressure
vessels, gas cylinders, and hazardous processes.
12 Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records, incident statistics,
and compliance documentation.
13 Support permit-to-work systems, including hot work, confined space, work at
height, and electrical work.
14 Coordinate with departments during audits and regulatory inspections.
