Role summary
The Datacenter Infrastructure and Cloud CoE Head leads the Infrastructure Services Center of Excellence for datacenter and multi?cloud offerings across customers. This role is accountable for portfolio definition, GTM and pre?sales support, partner ecosystem, delivery frameworks, and expert escalation for complex and red accounts, ensuring profitable growth and high customer satisfaction in infra/cloud services.
Key responsibilities
1. CoE strategy, portfolio, and P&L; influence
- Define and maintain the infra & cloud services portfolio (managed DC, hosting, cloud migration/modernisation, hybrid/multi?cloud operations, DR/BC, automation/observability), aligned with market demand and company strategy.
- Shape the business case and pricing guardrails for offerings and influence P&L; (margin, utilisation, standardisation) through CoE standards and reusable assets.
2. GTM offerings and sales/pre?sales support
- Create packaged GTM offerings with clear scope, value proposition, differentiators, and delivery models for datacenter and cloud services.
- Lead solutioning for strategic deals:
- engage in RFP/RFI responses,
- craft architectures and transition/transform plans,
- present to customer CXOs and technical stakeholders,
- support win themes and competitive defence.
3. Capacity and capability building across the practice
- Build technical and consulting capacity across the infra/cloud practice: hiring guidance, skill matrices, certification plans, labs, and mentoring.
- Ensure teams are current on OEM/cloud partner roadmaps and emerging patterns (edge, SASE, AIOps, automation, FinOps).
4. Frameworks, delivery models, and quality
- Develop standard frameworks and reference architectures for common engagement types (lift?and?shift migrations, DC consolidation, multi?cloud landing zones, managed services).
- Define delivery models and accelerators (playbooks, toolchains, templates) and govern adherence via architecture reviews and delivery excellence checks.

Executing transformation and red account recovery
- Act as chief architect/SME for flagship transformation programmes to de?risk design decisions and ensure consistent approaches across customers.
- Own technical recovery plans for red accounts in infra/cloud: lead RCAs, redesign where needed, deploy senior experts, and work with account leadership to restore customer trust.
6. Partner ecosystem and joint solutions
- Manage strategic relationships with cloud providers and infra OEMs (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI, VMware, storage/network vendors, observability/automation platforms).
- Co?develop joint solutions and GTM with partners (reference architectures, co?branded offerings, training, and marketing campaigns) that feed the CoE portfolio.
7. Governance, metrics, and evangelisation
- Run CoE governance with transparent KPIs: deal win?rate, standard offering adoption, delivery quality (SLAs, incident metrics), reuse rate, certification levels, and red?account status.
- Evangelise the infra/cloud CoE internally and externally via whitepapers, webinars, conferences, and customer advisory boards, positioning the provider as a thought leader.
Required skills and experience
- Experience
- 12–15+ years in infrastructure/cloud consulting or managed services, with at least 5+ years leading practices/CoEs or major solution teams in a service-provider/MSP .
- Demonstrated success in winning and delivering complex infra/cloud deals (DC + multi?cloud, hybrid, large migrations).
- Technical and domain expertise
- Deep understanding of data center technologies and multiple cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI), including landing zones, connectivity, security, and operations.
- Familiarity with automation and observability stacks used in managed services (CI/CD, IaC, AIOps/ITOM, monitoring/APM, logging).
- Commercial, presales and leadership skills
- Strong presales and commercial acumen: solution costing, pricing, risk assessment, and margin management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management with customers, sales, delivery, and partners; able to influence at CXO level.
