Job Role Purpose & Objective: (Brief summary for the existence of the job role)
To monitor and manage the health and performance of the Commercial Banking loan portfolio by ensuring timely identification of emerging risks, adherence to internal credit policies, regulatory compliance, portfolio quality standards, covenant monitoring, renewal tracking, and proactive remediation of vulnerable accounts. The role is responsible for strengthening portfolio governance, minimizing credit losses, and supporting sustainable portfolio growth.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Portfolio Monitoring
? Monitor the performance and quality of the Commercial Banking portfolio on an ongoing basis.
? Track portfolio trends across industries, borrower segments, geographies, and products.
? Identify Early Warning Signals (EWS) and vulnerable accounts and initiate timely escalation.
? Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and recommend corrective actions.
? Monitor accounts exhibiting stress indicators such as:
DPD movement
Rating deterioration
Financial covenant breaches
Renewal & Review Monitoring
? Ensure timely renewal of credit facilities and annual reviews.
? Monitor pending CAM renewals and overdue review cases.
? Coordinate with Business,
and Risk teams for closure of pending reviews.
Covenant & Documentation Monitoring
? Monitor fulfillment of financial and non-financial covenants.
? Track receipt and review of:
o Financial statements
o Stock statements
o Insurance policies
o Valuation reports
o Legal reports
o Udyam certificates and other regulatory documents
o End use certificates
Stakeholder Management
? Work closely with Commercial Banking Business teams, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Audit functions.
? Support internal and external audits by providing documents and evidences.
? Facilitate discussions on risk mitigation and portfolio improvement initiatives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Understanding of Commercial Banking and Transaction Banking products.
Exposure of Credit Monitoring, RBI regulation, Internal Audit & Credit Governance framework.
Educational Qualifications HSC Passed, Graduate, B.Com / BBA / MBA (preferred)
