QA Engineer - Automation Testing - 7+ Years - Hyderabad

We are hiring an experienced QA Engineer / Automation Test Engineer to join the technology team of a leading global financial intelligence and analytics organisation. The role involves ensuring the quality, reliability, functionality, and performance of enterprise-grade applications through comprehensive manual and automated testing. Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright with Python, frontend testing, API testing, SQL, and Kafka is essential.

Responsibilities - * Perform end-to-end functional and frontend testing of web-based applications, covering UI functionality, workflows, integrations, usability, cross-browser behavior, and regression scenarios.

- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright with Python, while building scalable automation frameworks and reusable components.
- Conduct API testing for RESTful services, validating responses, status codes, payloads, headers, authentication, and error handling.
- Perform database testing using SQL and validate data flow and integrity across frontend, APIs, databases, and integrated systems, including Kafka events.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing while managing defects and collaborating with development and product teams.




- Contribute to performance testing and use observability/monitoring tools such as Splunk to investigate logs, errors, and application behavior.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to improving QA processes, automation coverage, testing standards, and overall product quality.

Requirements - * 7-12 years of overall experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Automation Testing.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Playwright, with strong practical experience using Python.
- Strong experience in end-to-end frontend testing, API testing, and database testing using SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka queries/events for data validation.
- Robust Python programming/scripting skills and knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices.
- Experience across functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Performance Testing, Splunk/observability, Agile/Scrum experience, and strong analytical and communication skills will be an added advantage.
