Job Title: Artwork Designer - Studio & Production

Department: Studio Department - Design Team

Location: Mumbai

Job Type: Full-time

Reports to: Studio Head / Design Manager

Compensation: based on experience, skills, and portfolio

Role Overview

We're looking for a detail-driven Artwork Designer - Studio & Production to join the Studio Department within our Design Team. You'll translate approved concepts into accurate, production-ready artwork based on actual wall and site dimensions. Your work will span wall graphics, glass films, signage, floor graphics, large-format prints, and multi-panel installations. This role sits at the critical bridge between design intent and flawless execution. If you understand scale, enjoy perfecting details, and know how to prepare files that can be produced and installed correctly, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

○ Artwork Adaptation & Site Scaling

• Translate approved concepts, elevations, and visual directions into accurate artwork based on final wall, glass, floor, column, panel, and signage dimensions.

• Adapt layouts across multiple sizes and locations without compromising visual hierarchy, proportion, brand consistency, or the approved design intent.

• Read and interpret site measurements, elevation drawings, marked-up plans, and production briefs, and flag missing or conflicting information before starting artwork.

• Build artwork at full scale or a clearly controlled scale, with documented scale factors, dimensions, panel references, and placement guides.

○ Production-Ready File Preparation

• Prepare print- and fabrication-ready files for vinyl, wallpaper, wall graphics, glass films, floor graphics, panels, signage, and other large-format applications.

• Set up panel divisions, overlaps, bleeds, cut paths, secure zones, crop marks, registration marks, and colour specifications according to material and vendor requirements.

• Ensure images, vectors, typography, linked assets, fonts, colour modes, profiles, and resolution meet the required output standards.

• Convert approved layouts into clean, logically layered, editable master files that are easy for the studio, production partners, and vendors to use.

○ Quality Control, Proofing & Version Management

• Preflight every file for dimensions, scale, spelling, alignment, colour, image quality, links, panel sequence, and technical output settings before release.

• Review digital proofs, physical samples, colour swatches, scaled mock-ups, and vendor outputs, and incorporate corrections accurately.

• Maintain disciplined file naming, folder structures, revision histories, and archived masters so the latest approved version is always clear.

• Manage multiple live projects and revisions while meeting fast-moving studio and site deadlines without compromising accuracy.

○ Studio Coordination & Execution Support

• Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, 3D visualizers, production partners, vendors, and site teams to ensure accurate handovers.

• Clarify design intent, translate consolidated feedback into artwork changes, and proactively highlight technical or execution risks.

• Create quick mock-ups, placement visuals, production mark-ups, and scaled presentations when needed to communicate the final output clearly.

• Support final artwork release and resolve production or site queries, including urgent corrections, while protecting quality, consistency, and version control.

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Applied Arts, Commercial Arts, or an allied field.

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in artworking, graphic production, pre-press, or a studio role, ideally within environmental branding, interiors, signage, retail, exhibitions, or large-format print.

• Strong command of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Working knowledge of CorelDRAW is an advantage; familiarity with AutoCAD or elevation drawings is a plus.

• Strong understanding of real-world dimensions, scale, grids, layout, typography, image resolution, colour,

and print production requirements.

• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors that may affect production, fabrication, installation, or brand consistency.

• Highly organised and comfortable with file management, version control, multiple stakeholders, and tight deadlines.

• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to receiving, interpreting, and implementing feedback.

• A portfolio or work samples that demonstrate:

○ Large-format artwork, wall-size adaptations, signage, environmental graphics, or production files

○ Accuracy across multiple sizes, formats, and applications

○ Clean file construction and strong technical detailing

Bonus Points For

• Experience with workplace graphics, environmental branding, signage and wayfinding, retail graphics, or branded interiors.

• Familiarity with materials and applications such as vinyl, wallpaper, glass films, acrylic, MDF, metal, printed panels, and dimensional signage.

• Experience coordinating with large-format printers, fabricators, and installation teams, including proofing and production follow-ups.

• Good hands-on skills in image retouching, colour correction, masking, compositing, and realistic artwork mock-ups.

What You'll Get

• Competitive compensation, aligned with your experience, technical skills, and portfolio strength.

• Exposure to large-scale environmental branding and workplace design projects across corporate, retail, cultural, and public-facing environments.

• A role at the centre of design, production, and execution, where your accuracy directly shapes the quality of the finished space.

• Opportunities to collaborate with designers, project managers, architects, visualizers, vendors, and execution specialists.

• A supportive studio culture that values precision, ownership, learning, and craft excellence.
