Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance and maintain web-based and business applications as per functional requirements.
Understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
Write clean, maintainable and well-structured code following established development standards.
Perform application testing, debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.
Integrate applications with databases, APIs and third-party systems as required.
Participate in the complete software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.
Collaborate with the IT, business and other cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions within defined timelines.
Monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities for system improvement.
Maintain appropriate technical documentation, source code and development records.
Provide support for production applications and resolve application-related issues within defined timelines.
Ensure adherence to information security, data protection and internal IT policies while developing and maintaining applications.
Required Technical Skills
Strong programming and application development fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, .NET, Python, PHP or JavaScript.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and web application development.
Valuable understanding of SQL and relational databases such as MS SQL Server or MySQL.
Knowledge of REST APIs, web services and application integration.
Understanding of software development lifecycle, debugging, testing and version control tools such as Git.
