A Day in the Life
Medtronic is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer – Software Validation & Test Automation to join the Affera Manufacturing Engineering team. This role is critical in advancing manufacturing test automation, software validation, hardware integration, and quality assurance activities for next-generation electrophysiology products.
You will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Software Engineering, Quality, and R&D; teams to develop and maintain automated test solutions, validate manufacturing software applications,



and support production test systems that ensure product quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated medical device setting.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Develop and maintain Qt-based GUI applications and supporting utilities used in manufacturing and test environments.
- Design, implement, and execute automated validation and test frameworks to improve manufacturing test efficiency and repeatability.
- Develop and maintain software verification and validation protocols, test cases, and execution reports.
- Support Windows desktop application testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution activities.
- Work with computer vision systems, tracking algorithms, and coordinate transformation techniques to support manufacturing automation and calibration workflows.
