Job Description:
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced US Business Tax professional with strong hands-on experience in both tax return preparation and review. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing US business tax returns, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable tax regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review US partnership and corporate income tax returns, including Form 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
• Handle a return mix of approximately 60% Partnerships (1065), 30% S-Corporations (1120S), and 10% C-Corporations (1120).
• Review tax returns, workpapers, supporting schedules, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Organize workpapers, maintain open-item lists, and conduct detailed self-review of prepared returns before submission.
• Identify technical and tax-related issues during the review process and provide appropriate solutions.
• Provide technical assistance, tax planning, and research on US income tax matters.
• Ensure returns comply with applicable tax laws, regulations, and Firm standards.
• Communicate tax-related issues and recommendations clearly to Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, Partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Stay updated on US tax developments and changes that may impact clients and their businesses.
• Develop an understanding of the Firm’s service capabilities and identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing and recent clients.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements and policies, including timely time entry.
• Maintain required CPE and meet Firm and licensing standards.
Must-Have Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in US Business Tax Return Preparation and Review.
• Strong hands-on experience with 1065, 1120, and 1120S returns.
• Experience in reviewing US business tax returns and identifying errors or technical issues.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
