Zuora Billing & Revenue Solutions Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Zuora Billing & Revenue Solutions Architect to provide end-to-end technical leadership for a live, enterprise-scale Zuora Billing (ZB) and Zuora Revenue (ZR/RevPro) environment. The role will focus on platform scalability, architecture optimization, revenue processes, complex integrations, and continuous enhancement of the Zuora ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will combine deep Zuora Billing and Revenue expertise with strong solution architecture, revenue recognition, integration, and production troubleshooting capabilities. This role will serve as a strategic technology partner to Finance, Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into scalable and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the architecture, technical strategy, and ongoing evolution of the Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue production environment.
- Design, configure, and implement complex product catalogs, pricing models, billing processes, invoicing, and revenue recognition solutions.
- Evaluate the existing Zuora architecture and drive scalability, performance, reliability, and platform optimization.
- Serve as the Tier-3 technical escalation point for complex billing, rating, invoicing, revenue recognition, integration, and production issues.
- Translate Finance and Controllership requirements into robust Zuora configurations and technical solutions.
- Design and support revenue recognition processes aligned with ASC 606 / IFRS 15, corporate accounting policies, and month-end close requirements.
- Own and troubleshoot end-to-end integrations and data flows between Zuora, CRM, ERP, and other enterprise applications.
- Diagnose complex issues spanning billing, revenue, integrations, data,



configuration, and system architecture, driving issues through to resolution.
- Provide architectural guidance for new capabilities and enhancements while ensuring alignment with the existing platform and enterprise architecture.
- Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, IT, Engineering, Product, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Establish and promote best practices, governance, change management, and continuous improvement across the Zuora ecosystem.
- Ensure new implementations and platform changes are delivered with minimal business disruption and strong operational controls.

Required Expertise

- Strong hands-on experience with Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue (RevPro) in enterprise production environments.
- Proven experience in solution architecture, Zuora configuration, billing transformation, and revenue management.
- Strong understanding of subscription billing, pricing, rating, invoicing, payments, and revenue recognition.
- Solid knowledge of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience troubleshooting complex Zuora integrations, APIs, data flows, and enterprise system interfaces.
- Strong understanding of CRM/ERP integrations and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience working with Finance, Accounting, Controllership, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
