About the Role

We are looking for a highly creative and experienced YouTube & Instagram Script Writer / Content Strategist who understands how to turn real-life footage, vlogs, ideas and stories into highly engaging digital content.

The candidate will work closely with a young fashion creator and her content/video editing team to develop compelling content for YouTube Vlogs, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and occasional podcast/interview content.

This is not a traditional blog/content-writing position. We need someone who understands video storytelling, audience psychology, hooks, retention, trends and social-media content strategy.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop creative concepts and storylines for YouTube vlogs.
- Write structured, engaging scripts for YouTube long-form videos.
- Convert vlog footage and long-form ideas into high-retention Instagram Reels & YouTube Shorts.
- Write powerful first 2–3 second hooks that capture attention immediately.
- Build storytelling structures that improve watch time, retention, shares and engagement.
- Identify interesting moments from everyday activities and turn them into strong content ideas.
- Write natural scripts suitable for a young fashion creator/personal brand.
- Research current trends, viral formats, competitor content and audience interests.
- Develop Reel concepts, hooks, storytelling angles, captions and CTAs.
- Create content ideas around fashion, designing, behind-the-scenes, lifestyle, challenges, personal journey, brand building and vlogs.
- Write scripts for podcasts, interviews and conversational videos when required.
- Work closely with the creator, videographer and video editors to ensure the final edit follows the intended story.
- Review content performance and suggest improvements based on views, retention, watch time and engagement.




- Build weekly/monthly content ideas and help maintain a structured content calendar.

Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate should have:
- 2–4+ years of relevant experience in script writing/content strategy.
- Previous experience writing content for YouTubers, creators, influencers, podcasts, personal brands or digital-first brands.
- Strong understanding of YouTube, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Excellent storytelling and creative-writing skills.
- Strong understanding of viral hooks, pacing, retention and audience psychology.
- Ability to write natural and conversational English & Hinglish.
- Ability to understand raw footage and identify which moments can become engaging Reels/Shorts.
- Strong knowledge of current social-media trends and creator content.
- Ability to work quickly with a fast-moving creative team.
- Fashion/lifestyle/creator-industry experience will be a robust advantage.

IMPORTANT — Portfolio Mandatory Please do not apply without relevant previous work.

Candidates must share

1. Links to 5–10 Instagram Reels / YouTube Shorts / YouTube videos they have personally scripted.
2. Names or links of creators, YouTube channels, podcasts or brands they have previously written for.
3. At least one high-performing/viral video they scripted, along with its views/results.
4. Samples of any podcast or long-form YouTube scripts they have written.
5. Current salary and expected salary.
6. Availability to join.

Preferred Candidate We would especially like to meet someone who doesn't simply “write scripts,” but can look at an idea and say:

“This is the hook. This is the story. This part should become a Reel. This is where viewers may drop off. And this is how we can make the content more engaging.”

We are looking for someone who can think like a content strategist and write like a storyteller.
