Role Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Performance Engineering Consultant / Performance Architect who can define performance strategy, review architecture, drive scalability, and ensure systems are designed to meet performance and capacity requirements from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and establish Performance Engineering strategies, frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Review application and system architecture from a performance, scalability, latency, throughput, and reliability perspective
- Provide recommendations to address architectural and performance risks early in the development lifecycle
- Drive capacity planning and infrastructure sizing for expected, peak, and future workloads
- Develop performance models and workload models to predict system behavior under different load conditions
- Partner with Architects, Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, Operations, and Business teams
- Identify application, database, API, infrastructure, and cloud performance bottlenecks
- Guide performance testing teams on test strategy, workload design, monitoring, analysis, and optimization
- Evaluate and introduce new Performance Engineering tools, technologies, and methodologies
- Mentor Performance Engineers and Leads and promote a strong performance engineering culture
Required Experience
✅ Strong experience in Performance Engineering / Performance Architecture
✅ Expertise in scalability, capacity planning, workload modelling, and performance optimization
✅ Robust understanding of application, API, database, cloud, and infrastructure architecture
✅ Experience conducting architecture and performance design reviews
✅ Knowledge of APM, observability, and infrastructure monitoring tools
✅ Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, NeoLoad, LoadRunner, or equivalent
✅ Strong analytical, consulting, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills
