Role you will play in our team
We are looking for 0-10 years experienced engineers with an emphasis on Well Management (wellwork / well integrity / PA) Engineering to provide wells engineering support across ExxonMobil's global portfolio. What you will do
- Provide engineering support in well management (wellwork / well integrity / PA) area to ExxonMobil global wells teams leveraging analysis and engineering insights
- Work directly with Wells teams to provide design and / or operational support for safe and cost-effective operations
- Generate plots and reports to communicate solutions and leverage ExxonMobil subject matter expert advice and company best practices to improve performance
- Ensure all operations comply with internal standards and international regulations.
- Support well integrity assessments and remediation planning
- Promote a robust safety culture across all activities
- Identify and implement new technologies and tools to enhance wellwork efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel on global asset teams
- Integrate with adjacent disciplines - Production, facilities, reservoir geoscience teams to provide synergistic solutions to global wells teams
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree from a recognized university in petroleum, mechanical,
chemical, civil, or electrical engineering with minimum GPA 7 and above; Master's Degree preferred
- 0-10 years of work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical design operating parameters through data and trend analysis
- Experience in writing procedures for Wellwork Operations (rigless and/or rig-based; coil tubing, slickline, wireline) execution is preferred not required
- Field experience at a rig site or wellsite is preferred
- Knowledge of the basic wells management engineering concepts including well intervention/wellwork, plug and abandonment, well integrity, well control (well barrier philosophy).
- Familiarity with AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) and budget forecasts for wellwork activities
- Familiarity with engineering applications such as Cerberus, WellView, WellCAT, Torque Drag
- Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI or Spotfire
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
- Demonstrated ability to cooperate effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work in shifts, with opportunities to leverage flexible work hours
- Position is Bangalore-based with potential for international travel
