Role Description This is a remote internship role for a Web Designer at VayuX Systems.

The Web

Designer intern will collaborate with cybersecurity and engineering teams to design and refine user-friendly, visually appealing web interfaces that align with the company’s brand and technical content. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating page layouts, wireframes, and visual assets, implementing responsive web design best practices, and supporting front-end implementation in coordination with developers.



The intern will help optimize user experience across devices, maintain design consistency across digital properties, and iterate on designs based on feedback and usability considerations. The role may also involve updating existing pages, preparing design documentation, and contributing ideas to improve the overall web presence.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Web Design and Responsive Web Design skills for creating accessible, device-agnostic interfaces.
- Candidates should possess Graphic Design and Graphics skills for developing visual assets, icons, and layouts that support brand identity.
- Candidates should possess Front-End Development abilities (e.g., basic HTML, CSS, and familiarity with JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar platforms is beneficial.
- Understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and accessibility standards is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow design guidelines, and willingness to learn in a technical domain.
- Current enrollment or recent completion of a program in Design, Computer Science, HCI, or a related field is advantageous.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
