Job Description About the Role
n We are hiring an Engagement Quality Control Reviewer (EQCR) for a leading client. The role involves performing independent quality reviews of audit engagements, with a strong focus on US GAAP, Integrated Audits, PCAOB-regulated clients, and audit quality requirements.
n The ideal candidate should have strong technical accounting and auditing expertise, excellent professional judgment, and hands-on experience reviewing complex audit engagements in a PCAOB-regulated environment.

n Experience
n 5 to 14 years of experience post CA/CPA qualification ONLY
n Candidates with less than 5 years or more than 14 years of post-CA/CPA experience will not be considered.
n Mandatory Qualification
n n CA or CPA – Mandatory
n Active CA/CPA License – Mandatory
n 5–14 years of relevant experience post CA/CPA qualification
n n Mandatory Experience
n Candidates must have hands-on experience in all four of the following areas:
n n US GAAP – Mandatory
n Integrated Audit – Mandatory
n PCAOB Regulatory / PCAOB-regulated Client Handling – Mandatory
n EQCR (Engagement Quality Control Review) – Mandatory
n n Required Skills
n n Solid knowledge of US GAAP
n Strong understanding of PCAOB auditing standards and requirements
n Hands-on experience with Integrated Audits
n Proven EQCR / Engagement Quality Control Review experience
n Strong knowledge of financial statement auditing and internal controls
n Experience with ICFR / SOX
n Ability to review complex accounting and auditing judgments
n Strong analytical and problem-solving skills




n Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n Ability to work with senior leadership and global / US stakeholders
n n Key Responsibilities
n n Perform independent and objective Engagement Quality Control Reviews (EQCR) for audit engagements.
n Review significant audit areas, accounting conclusions, key judgments, and critical audit matters.
n Evaluate whether significant risks have been appropriately identified, assessed, and addressed by the engagement team.
n Review audit documentation and assess compliance with applicable professional, regulatory, and firm quality standards.
n Provide effective challenge to engagement teams on complex accounting, auditing, and reporting matters.
n Review and evaluate complex financial reporting matters under US GAAP.
n Assess audit procedures and conclusions relating to Integrated Audits, including financial statements and internal controls over financial reporting.
n Review ICFR/SOX considerations, including control deficiencies, significant deficiencies, and material weaknesses.
n Review engagements involving PCAOB-regulated / SEC-reporting clients and ensure appropriate consideration of PCAOB requirements.
n Support engagement teams in addressing complex PCAOB, accounting, auditing, and regulatory matters.
n Communicate review findings and observations effectively to Engagement Partners, Directors, and Senior Managers.
n Ensure significant matters identified during the review are appropriately resolved and documented before issuance of the audit report.
n Maintain a high level of professional skepticism, independence, and judgment throughout the review process.
