Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, disciplined, and caring Ladies Hostel Warden to oversee the day-to-day administration, safety, discipline, and welfare of female students residing in the college hostel. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, hygienic, and supportive residential environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure the safety, security, discipline, and well-being of all female hostel residents.
- Supervise the daily operations and overall administration of the ladies hostel.
- Maintain student attendance, room occupancy, leave, visitor, and movement records.
- Monitor student entry and exit timings and ensure adherence to hostel rules and regulations.
- Address student concerns, complaints, and emergencies promptly and appropriately.
- Coordinate with parents/guardians, college management, and other departments whenever required.
- Conduct regular room inspections to ensure cleanliness,hygiene, and proper maintenance.
- Monitor housekeeping, security, maintenance, and other hostel support staff.
- Ensure proper maintenance of hostel facilities and report repair or maintenance requirements to the management.
- Handle emergency situations and coordinate with the concerned authorities when necessary.
- Maintain hostel registers, records, reports, and other administrative documentation.




- Organize and supervise hostel activities and promote a positive and disciplined residential environment.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, safety procedures, and hostel regulations.
- Be available to handle urgent student welfare and hostel-related matters, including after regular working hours when required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Graduate in any discipline; relevant experience in hostel administration, student welfare, or residential management will be preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-management abilities.
- Ability to handle students with patience, empathy, maturity, and discipline.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work in a hostel workplace and respond to emergencies when required.
- Knowledge of Tamil and English is preferred.

Experience Preferred: 2 - 5 years of experience in hostel administration, student welfare, educational institutions, or similar residential facilities.
