About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Visa Filing Officer to manage documentation, preparation, filing support, and case coordination for Australian employer-sponsored visa matters, with a particular focus on the Subclass 482 visa and Western Australia Designated Area Migration Agreement (WA DAMA) pathways.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, employers, internal case managers, and, where applicable, registered migration professionals to ensure applications are complete, accurate, properly documented, and progressed within required timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end administrative processing of Subclass 482 and WA DAMA cases.
- Collect, review, organise, and verify applicant and employer documentation.
- Prepare case files for employer sponsorship, nomination and visa application stages, as applicable.
- Assist with WA DAMA endorsement and labour agreement-related documentation where required.
- Review employment documents, qualifications, work experience evidence, English-language evidence, identity documents, police clearances, health-related requirements, and other supporting documents.
- Prepare document checklists tailored to individual cases.
- Identify missing, inconsistent, expired, or insufficient documentation and coordinate with clients to obtain corrections.
- Assist in preparing forms, supporting statements, submissions, and application documentation under appropriate supervision.
- Upload documents and assist with online application lodgement through relevant Australian Government portals.
- Track application deadlines, expiry dates, requests for further information, nomination/visa status, and other key milestones.
- Maintain accurate case notes, client records, document folders,



and internal case-management systems.
- Communicate professionally with applicants and sponsoring employers regarding documentation and case progress.
- Assist with responses to requests for further information and additional-document requests.
- Keep up to date with procedural changes affecting Subclass 482 and WA DAMA processing.
- Escalate complex eligibility, compliance, refusal-risk, or migration-law issues to the responsible registered migration professional or authorised adviser.

Required Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in Australian immigration/visa processing,
- Strong document-review and case-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- High attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in documents.
- Ability to manage multiple active cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, PDF/document management, email, online portals and case-management systems.
- Ability to handle confidential client and employer information professionally.

Important Role Boundary The Visa Filing Officer is responsible for administrative case preparation and processing. Where Australian law requires immigration assistance or migration advice to be provided by an appropriately authorised person, such advice and representation must be handled or supervised in accordance with applicable Australian requirements.
