Role Description The Video Engineer at BETA is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvallur. This role involves managing and optimizing video systems, including conferencing platforms, streaming media services, and digital video workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and maintaining video infrastructure, monitoring performance, diagnosing issues, and implementing fixes to ensure reliable, high-quality video delivery.

The Video

Engineer collaborates with product, IT, and operations teams to integrate video solutions into existing systems, supports live and on-demand video events, and documents processes and best practices. The role also includes evaluating new video technologies, contributing to system upgrades,



and providing technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing, analyzing, and resolving video-related technical issues.
- Candidates should possess skills in video conferencing platforms and workflows, including setup, optimization, and support for internal and external meetings.
- Candidates should possess skills in VOD (Video on Demand) systems and streaming media delivery, including configuration, performance monitoring, and content distribution.
- Candidates should possess skills in digital video technologies, formats, and codecs, as well as basic knowledge of video encoding and transcoding.
- Relevant experience with media servers, content delivery networks (CDNs), and network fundamentals for video transport is beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Robust documentation habits, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment are important.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools for media workflows and familiarity with security best practices in video systems are advantageous.
