JOB DESCRIPTION:

Dolly J, one of India’s leading fashion brands specializing in Indian haute couture is looking for a senior designer to join the growing mens and women’s design teams. We are looking for someone who has had industry experience in a couture house before, and is innovative, looking to come up with fresh designs. Must understand the design process from start to finish.

Requirements:

n

· Strong hand-sketching and technical flat/spec drawing ability

n





· Working knowledge of Indian embroidery and textile traditions (zardozi, resham, Parsi gara/threadwork, etc.) and how to translate them into contemporary silhouettes

n

· Familiarity with garment construction, draping, and patternmaking for heavily embellished or structured couture pieces

n

· Comfort working directly with karigars (artisans) and production teams to execute intricate handwork at scale

n
