Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on functional and business requirements.
n
- Perform REST API testing using Postman or similar API testing tools, including functional, integration, negative, and regression testing.
n
- Analyze requirements and prepare comprehensive test plans, test cases, test data, and test documentation.
n
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects throughout the software testing lifecycle.
n
- Perform data validation using SQL queries and verify backend data against expected application results.
n
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across web/API applications.
n
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve defects.
n
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
n
- Perform root-cause analysis of defects and provide clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
n
- Maintain accurate test execution reports and communicate testing status, risks,



and issues to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Eligibility

n

n
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing and API Testing.
n
- Robust understanding of SDLC, STLC, testing methodologies, and defect management processes.
n
- Hands-on experience with REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
n
- Experience creating, executing, and maintaining test cases, test scenarios, test data, and test documentation.
n
- Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for database and data validation.
n
- Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
n
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and software development practices.
n
- Strong understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, request/response validation, headers, authentication, and JSON/XML formats.
n
- Experience working with defect management and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
n
- Strong analytical, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
