Cation Care is looking for a dynamic and technically competent Veterinary Diagnostics Executive to develop and manage the veterinary diagnostic business in Jammu & Kashmir. The position will be responsible for promoting veterinary rapid diagnostic kits, conducting product demonstrations, developing relationships with veterinarians, veterinary clinics, hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, dairy farms and other institutional customers, and supporting customers with proper product usage and interpretation.

The ideal candidate should combine veterinary/diagnostic knowledge with strong communication, field-sales and business-development skills.

1. Position Summary

Cation Care is looking for a dynamic and technically competent Veterinary Diagnostics Executive to develop and manage the veterinary diagnostic business in Jammu & Kashmir. The position will be responsible for promoting veterinary rapid diagnostic kits, conducting product demonstrations, developing relationships with veterinarians, veterinary clinics, hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, dairy farms and other institutional customers, and supporting customers with proper product usage and interpretation. The ideal candidate should combine veterinary/diagnostic knowledge with strong communication, field-sales and business-development skills.

1. Key Responsibilities A.

Veterinary Diagnostic

Sales & Business Development

- Develop the veterinary diagnostics market across the assigned territory.
- Identify and establish relationships with veterinary doctors, clinics, hospitals, laboratories, dairy farms, breeding centres, veterinary pharmacies and institutions.
- Generate new customers and develop repeat business from existing customers.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Develop new market opportunities for AURA veterinary diagnostic products.
- Maintain regular follow-up with customers and convert trials into repeat orders.
- Develop dealer and institutional business wherever required.

B.

Technical Product

Demonstration

- Conduct demonstrations of veterinary rapid diagnostic kits at clinics, hospitals, laboratories and farms.
- Explain appropriate sample collection, test procedures, result interpretation, storage and handling.
- Provide technical guidance to customers regarding correct product usage.
- Assist veterinarians and customers in understanding product specifications, sensitivity, specificity and limitations, based on approved product documentation.
- Record customer feedback and communicate technical issues to AURA/Cation Care management.
- Coordinate with the principal company's technical team for technical queries and complaints.

Veterinary Customer Relationship

Management

- Build long-term professional relationships with veterinary practitioners.
- Regularly visit key veterinary clinics and institutions.
- Maintain a database of veterinarians, clinics, laboratories, farms and other prospective customers.
- Track customer trials, first orders, repeat orders and product preferences.
- Identify high-potential customers and develop them into regular accounts.

Market

Development

- Map the veterinary diagnostic market in Jammu &

• Kashmir.

- Identify areas with high concentration of veterinary clinics, dairy farms, pet practices and livestock activity.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, availability and market activity.
- Identify new diagnostic requirements and communicate market opportunities to management.
- Participate in veterinary events, seminars, conferences, camps and product awareness programmes.

• Technical Support





- Attend product training provided by AURA Biotechnologies.
- Maintain complete technical knowledge of assigned products.
- Conduct basic product training for dealers and customers where authorized.
- Ensure that customers follow the manufacturer's recommended instructions.
- Support troubleshooting and coordinate unresolved technical issues with AURA.

Administration &

• Reporting

- Prepare daily field-visit reports.
- Maintain customer and prospect records.
- Submit weekly sales and market-development reports.
- Maintain records of demonstrations, samples and trials.
- Track quotations, orders, collections and outstanding payments in coordination with the accounts/commercial team.
- Maintain accurate information regarding customer requirements and future orders.

- M.V.Sc.
- M.Sc. Veterinary/Animal Sciences
- M.Sc. Microbiology
- M.Sc. Biotechnology
- M.Sc. Life Sciences
- B.Sc./B.Tech. Biotechnology or Microbiology with relevant diagnostic sales experience

Candidates with veterinary diagnostics, IVD, laboratory diagnostics or veterinary pharmaceutical sales experience will be preferred.

1. Field Travel

The position will involve extensive field travel across Jammu and subsequently other parts of Jammu & Kashmir. The candidate should be comfortable travelling to:

- Dairy farms
- Livestock farms
- Laboratories

- Rural and semi-urban markets

A valid driving licence and ability to travel independently will be preferred.
1. Initial Performance Expectations

During the first three months, the Executive will be expected to focus strongly on market creation rather than only billing.

Indicative targets

- Build a database of 150–200 veterinary prospects
- Conduct 40–50 product demonstrations
- Develop 25+ trial customers
- Generate 20+ active customers
- Establish relationships with key veterinary practitioners and institutions
- Generate regular repeat orders from successful trial customers
- Identify the top-performing products and customer segments in the territory

Targets will subsequently be converted into monthly sales and collection targets based on actual market potential.

1. Salary & Incentives

Salary: ₹20,000–₹25,000 per month, depending on qualification and experience. For an experienced veterinary diagnostics candidate, compensation may be structured separately based on experience.

In addition to fixed salary:

- Travel allowance/reimbursement
- Mobile/communication allowance, where applicable
- Performance-based sales incentive
- Additional incentives for achieving defined business-development milestones

The final compensation structure will be determined based on the candidate's qualification, experience and market capability.

We are looking for someone who is not merely a salesperson. The ideal candidate should be able to enter a veterinary clinic, confidently discuss a diagnostic requirement with the veterinarian, demonstrate the appropriate product, explain its correct use, obtain a trial, follow up on the result, convert the customer into a regular buyer and develop the relationship further.

Technical credibility + field capability + commercial mindset will be the key selection criteria.
