Role Description





Builds and holds the freelance linguist bench the programme runs on — recruiting continuously, qualifying rigorously, and keeping positive people engaged between assignments.

What you will own

- Recruit, qualify and onboard freelance linguists across twenty-plus language combinations, under the ISO 17100 supplier qualification framework.
- Run the qualification process: credential verification, test translations, calibration and scoring.
- Negotiate and maintain rate agreements, and protect programme margin language pair by language pair.
- Maintain bench depth against forecast volume, with particular attention to the scarce language pairs.
- Keep the bench warm — availability tracking, engagement, and prompt payment.
- Administer non-disclosure agreements and access requirements in coordination with the compliance function.

What you need

- 4+ years in vendor management or resourcing within a language services or specialist staffing business.
- A working network of freelance linguists across European and Asian language pairs.
- Commercial judgement on rates — able to negotiate without losing the supplier.
- The persistence to keep a pipeline full when nothing is on fire.

Useful to have

- Experience sourcing Nordic or CJK linguists.
