ABOUT THE ROLE Smartedge Consulting is looking for an Associate Consultant to support consulting, implementation, auditing, documentation and training assignments in the areas of IMS-QEHS, Food Safety and EHS. This is a hands-on consulting role where you will work with experienced consultants and gain practical exposure to client projects across different industries. The role is suitable for professionals with 1–5 years of relevant experience who want to develop their expertise and build a long-term career in consulting. KEY AREAS OF WORK IMS / QEHS ISO 9001 ISO 14001 ISO 45001 Integrated Management Systems QMS / EMS / OHSMS Gap assessments Internal audits System documentation Implementation support FOOD SAFETY ISO 22000 FSSC 22000 HACCP GMP / GHP Food Safety documentation Food Safety assessments and audits Implementation support EHS & SAFETY EHS inspections and assessments Workplace safety HIRA / Risk Assessment Safety compliance EHS documentation Incident / near-miss documentation Contractor safety Safety audits and training support KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Working under the guidance of Senior Consultants / Practice Heads, the Associate Consultant will: Participate in client consulting assignments and site visits. Support gap assessments and compliance assessments.



Assist in developing and updating procedures, formats, registers and checklists. Support management system implementation. Participate in internal audits, EHS assessments and Food Safety audits. Prepare audit observations and project reports. Support corrective action follow-up. Assist in client awareness and training programs. Maintain project trackers and documentation. Coordinate assigned project activities with the consulting team. Complete assigned deliverables within agreed timelines. Develop the capability to independently handle consulting assignments over time. WHO SHOULD APPLY? We are looking for professionals who: Have 1–5 years of relevant experience in consulting, implementation, auditing, EHS, Quality or Food Safety. Have a genuine interest in management systems and skilled consulting. Have basic knowledge of applicable ISO standards or relevant technical requirements. Have good documentation and report-writing skills. Are comfortable interacting with client teams. Are willing to travel for client assignments. Can work effectively with Senior Consultants and project teams. Are willing to learn and develop across multiple standards and industries. Can take ownership of assigned responsibilities and deliverables. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION Preferred backgrounds include: B.E. / B.Tech B.Sc. / M.Sc. B.Pharm / M.Pharm Food Technology / Food Science Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering Industrial Safety / Safety Engineering Other relevant technical or professional qualifications Certifications or training in ISO standards, HACCP, Food Safety, EHS, Safety or Auditing will be an advantage.
