About the Role

Better Ledger Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented US Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with US bookkeeping and be comfortable working with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop .

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting transactions
- Record and categorize income, expenses, bills, and payments
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing
- Prepare basic financial reports and bookkeeping schedules
- Review transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
- Coordinate with the accounting team and clients when required

Requirements





- Minimum 1 year of relevant bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Basic understanding of US accounting and bookkeeping practices
- Good knowledge of bank reconciliation, AP/AR, and financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work in office during the night shift
