nLabel Society is looking for a Fashion Designer to join our growing team in Mumbai.
nWe're looking for someone who is deeply interested in design, fabrics and the process of building a collection from the ground up. Someone with a strong point of view, good technical understanding, and the ability to take an idea from a sketch all the way to a finished garment. This role at its core includes design and collection development, researching, conceptualising and developing new collections while working closely with our vendors and production team to bring them to life.
Key responsibilities n

- Develop new collections from concept to final garment, in line with the direction of the brand.n
- Research and develop silhouettes, fabrics, details, techniques and finishesn
- Create and develop designs, working closely through the sampling and refinement processn
- Work on fittings, corrections and garment development to ensure strong fit and finishn




- Coordinate closely with masters, karigars, vendors and production units throughout the development processn
- Source and explore fabrics, trims and materials from markets and vendorsn
- Maintain a robust understanding of garment construction, fabrics, fits and finishingn
- Oversee sampling and ensure designs are translated accurately into finished garmentsn
- Manage timelines and follow-ups across the collection development and production processn
- Maintain records of styles, samples, fabrics and collection development through tech packsn
- Contribute to creative ideation for Label Society's social median
- Assist with content edits, styling and visual development when requiredn
- Contribute to the world-building of Label Society and helping shape how our clothes, references, ideas and aesthetic are communicated beyond the garments themselvesn
