Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright and TypeScript to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and API testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in UI and API automation, CI/CD integration, and modern software testing practices within Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and backend applications.
- Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop and execute automated UI and API test suites.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and define testing strategies.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and ensure continuous quality validation.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams for resolution.
- Create and maintain test data, test environments, and supporting documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation framework enhancements.
- Monitor test execution results, quality metrics, and application stability.
- Support manual and exploratory testing activities when required.
- Advocate shift-left testing practices and contribute to quality engineering initiatives.

Mandatory Skills

Automation Testing

- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Expertise in UI Automation Testing.
- Experience in API Automation Testing.




- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.

Programming

- Solid proficiency in TypeScript.
- Good understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and design principles.

Testing & Quality Engineering

- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with test strategy creation and automation planning.

CI/CD & DevOps

- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
- Version control experience using Git.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with REST API testing tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of performance and security testing concepts.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized test execution.
- Exposure to BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
