Job Summary

The Trim Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the identification, development, and procurement of garment trims and accessories such as buttons, zippers, labels, tapes, threads, and elastics. This role supports the product development and production teams by ensuring that all trims meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management skills, excellent attention to detail, and a deep understanding of sourcing strategies within the fashion or apparel industry.

Key Responsibilities

Source and develop trims and accessories in line with product and seasonal requirements.

Work closely with design, product development, and production teams to understand trim needs.

Identify, evaluate, and manage a network of global and local trim suppliers.

Request, manage, and evaluate samples for quality, aesthetics, functionality, and compliance.

Negotiate prices, minimum order quantities (MOQs), lead times, and payment terms with suppliers.

Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and responsiveness.

Ensure all trims comply with legal, safety,



and environmental standards (e.g., REACH, CPSIA).

Maintain accurate records of trim details, pricing, lead times, and approvals.

Collaborate with logistics and production teams to track trim deliveries and resolve issues.

Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and sustainability practices.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Fashion, Textiles, Supply Chain, or related field.

3+ years of experience in trim sourcing or apparel supply chain.

Strong knowledge of garment trims, materials, and suppliers.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PLM/ERP systems.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Knowledge of sustainability standards in sourcing is a plus.
