The candidate should have knowledge of testing procedures for:

Concrete

- Slump Test
- Cube Compression Test
- Concrete sampling and preparation
- Mix design basics
- Concrete quality checks

Aggregates

- Sieve Analysis / Gradation
- Impact Value
- Crushing Value
- Abrasion Value
- Flakiness & Elongation Index
- Specific Gravity & Water Absorption

Soil

- Grain Size Analysis
- Atterberg Limits
- Proctor Compaction Test
- Field Density Test
- CBR Test
- Specific Gravity
- Soil classification and basic interpretation of results

Cement & Other Construction Materials

- Fineness
- Consistency
- Setting Time
- Soundness
- Specific Gravity
- Basic testing of construction materials as required for site QA/QC





Code & Specification Knowledge The candidate should be familiar with testing requirements and acceptance criteria as applicable to:

- Relevant IS Codes
- MoRTH Specifications
- Project Technical Specifications
- QA/QC procedures and inspection requirements
- Proper preparation and maintenance of test reports and records

Key Skills Required

- Practical laboratory and field testing experience
- Understanding of IS code-based testing procedures
- Ability to operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment
- Accurate recording and interpretation of test results
- Knowledge of site quality control procedures
- Coordination with Site Engineers, QA/QC Engineers and Laboratory staff
