We are seeking an experienced Tiles & Stones Design Manager to lead our design team and ensure the successful delivery of custom tile and stone projects.

Job Summary

n

As the Tiles & Stones Design Manager, you will oversee the design and drafting team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality shop drawings and project designs. You will act as the primary liaison between clients, project managers, and the design team, driving operational excellence, design innovation, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead and manage the tiles and stones drafting/design team to ensure efficient and accurate project execution.
n
- Review and approve shop drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and details to meet AWI, AWMAC, NKBA, or client-specific standards.
n
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to align design output with project objectives and timelines.
n
- Develop workflows, guidelines, and best practices to enhance team productivity and design quality.
n
- Mentor and train junior designers/drafters,



promoting professional growth and technical excellence.
n
- Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure cost-effectiveness and on-time delivery.
n
- Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and emerging technologies to maintain cutting-edge design approaches.
n
- Conduct professional client interactions, including calls, presentations, and project kick-offs, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills

n

n
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design, Interior Design, or a related field, preferably with a focus on tiles and stones.
n
- 6–10 years of experience in tile and stone drafting/design, including 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
n
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
n
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools for documentation, reporting, and communication.
n
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
n
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
n
- Ability to make strategic decisions, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines under pressure.
