Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tekla Detailer Checker and Modeler role based in Chennai. The role involves creating and modifying 3D models in Tekla Structures for steel and concrete elements, ensuring that drawings and models meet project specifications, codes, and client standards. The professional will check and review detailed fabrication and erection drawings, identify and resolve clashes, and coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.





Daily activities include interpreting structural drawings, updating models based on design revisions, maintaining documentation, and supporting accurate quantity take-offs. The role also requires adherence to internal quality processes, proactive communication on technical issues, and contribution to continuous improvement in detailing and modeling workflows.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Tekla Structures for 3D modeling, steel detailing, and drawing generation.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering concepts, fabrication practices, and construction workflows.
- Experience in BIM processes, model coordination, and clash detection using relevant tools.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Attention to detail with skills in checking, reviewing, and validating shop and erection drawings.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Capability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet delivery timelines.
- Diploma or degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related discipline; prior experience in Tekla detailing and checking is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD drafting tools and basic IT skills; knowledge of automation or AI-driven workflows in detailing is an added advantage.
