Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Content Writer who can translate complex technology and IT/software concepts into creative, engaging, and platform-native content, for landing pages, blogs, LinkedIn/X posts, video scripts, and executive ghostwriting, across our group of companies (Proposal.biz, EnactOn, EnactSoft). This is not a pure marketing-copy role or a pure technical-writer role, it sits at the intersection: the person must understand tech well enough to write about it credibly, and must write well enough to make it not sound like documentation. The person will also be expected to use AI tools to scale output across multiple brands, founders, and platforms without sacrificing quality or a distinct voice per brand/person.
Key Responsibilities
- Long-form web content: Write landing pages, product pages, and blog posts on technical/IT/SaaS topics that are accurate, SEO-aware, and easy to read for a business audience.
- Social content: Create platform-native posts for LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and other channels, adapting tone/format per platform (LinkedIn thought-leadership vs. X threads/hot takes).
- Video scripting direction: Write scripts for short-form and long-form videos (explainers, founder talking-head videos, product demos) and provide basic creative/shot direction to whoever shoots/edits.
- Ghostwriting: Write in the authentic voice of founders/leadership for LinkedIn posts, articles, and personal branding, requires interviewing execs, absorbing their tone, and maintaining consistency over time.
- Cold email writing: Write outbound/cold email copy and sequences for sales/growth teams that get replies, not just opens.
- Multi-brand management: Simultaneously manage tone, voice, and content calendars for 3 companies (and multiple individual leadership pro without voice bleed between them.
- AI-leveraged scale: Use AI tools (ChatGPT/Claude/Jasper/etc.) as a first-draft/ideation engine to increase output volume, while maintaining human-level editing, fact-checking, and originality on final output.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with marketing, sales, and founders to understand technical products (proposal software, IT services, custom dev) well enough to write about them credibly.
Must-Have Qualifications for a Technical Content Writer (Creative + AI-Augmented)
- 2 5 years of qualified content/copywriting experience
- Demonstrated experience writing for a technical/IT/SaaS/software audience (not just lifestyle/e-commerce content)
- A strong writing portfolio, ask for it before the first call, not after
- Proven experience writing for LinkedIn and X specifically (not just social media broadly, the platforms have very different content grammar)
- Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) as part of a daily workflow, should be able to describe their actual process, not just say yes I use AI
- Good grasp of English grammar, tone control, and editing (able to self-edit; not reliant only on AI/Grammarly)
- Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
Good-to-Have / Preferred
- Prior experience ghostwriting for a founder/CXO (even informally)
- Experience writing or supervising video scripts
- Background in engineering/CS/IT (degree or work experience),
helps with technical credibility, though not mandatory if writing samples prove technical fluency
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS or IT services industry specifically (proposal software, custom software development, or similar)
- Basic SEO knowledge (keyword-aware writing, not keyword-stuffing)
- Experience writing cold email/outbound sequences with measurable reply/response rates
Soft Skills
- Proficiency in English
- Efficient taskmaster
- Self-reliant and quick learner
- Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, and schedules along with technical and process issues
- Creative and efficient problem solver
You have a very high chance of grabbing this position
- If you have been part of the B2B or SaaS team
- If you are familiar with WordPress and CMS platforms
- If you take initiative and work independently.
- Having your own blog/website is a huge plus
