Role Description The Tax Consultant role is a full time, on-site position based in the Pune Division.

The Tax

Consultant will advise clients on direct and indirect tax matters, prepare and review tax returns and related documentation, and support tax planning initiatives aligned with current regulations. Daily responsibilities include ensuring timely tax compliance, monitoring changes in tax law, assisting with tax audits, and responding to client queries with clear, well-researched guidance. The role involves collaborating with internal teams on corporate finance and restructuring projects where tax considerations are critical, while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professional ethics.





Qualifications

- Strong expertise in tax planning and tax compliance, with the ability to design and implement efficient, compliant tax strategies.
- Hands-on experience in tax preparation, including accurate computation, documentation, and filing across relevant tax categories.
- Proficiency in handling tax audits and applying tax law to assess positions, mitigate risks, and prepare necessary responses and representations.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA equivalent) are an advantage.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical tax concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency with tax and accounting software, spreadsheets, and standard office tools; ability to work efficiently with deadlines.
- Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, collaborate in a team environment, and maintain a high level of professional integrity and client service.
