About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant with hands-on experience in taxation and tax accounting for US, UK, Canadian or Australian entities/clients. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of tax compliance, tax calculations, reconciliations, tax reporting and tax research. Candidates with experience in multiple international tax jurisdictions will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support tax accounting and compliance activities for international entities or clients.
- Prepare and review tax calculations, tax schedules and supporting documentation.
- Support preparation and review of applicable corporate and business tax returns.
- Perform tax reconciliations and investigate differences between tax and accounting records.
- Support tax provision and deferred tax calculations where applicable.
- Research tax issues and provide analysis on applicable tax requirements.
- Support indirect tax activities including VAT, GST and sales/use tax, depending on the relevant jurisdiction.
- Review General Ledger accounts for tax-related transactions and identify potential issues.
- Prepare tax-related journal entries and accounting adjustments.
- Support tax audits, assessments and information requests from tax authorities.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors and internal Finance/Accounting teams.
- Maintain accurate tax records, workpapers and supporting documentation.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impact on business operations.
- Support month-end and year-end tax accounting and reporting.




- Ensure timely completion of tax compliance and reporting deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls and reporting efficiency.

Key Software Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, Wolters Kluwer CCH, Avalara, Vertex, Sage; experience with other tax, accounting or ERP systems will also be considered.

Tax & Compliance Knowledge

US Tax, UK Tax, Canadian Tax, Australian Tax, International Taxation, Corporate Tax, Tax Compliance, Tax Returns, Tax Research, Tax Reconciliation, Tax Provision, Deferred Tax, Sales Tax, Use Tax, GST, VAT, Tax Reporting, Tax Audits, Tax Accounting, US GAAP, IFRS.

Qualifications & Skills

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / Accounting / Taxation or a related field.
- CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, CIMA, CMA or relevant professional tax/accounting qualification preferred.
- 3-8 years of relevant experience in Tax Accounting, Tax Compliance, International Taxation or Finance Operations.
- Solid hands-on experience in at least one of the following tax jurisdictions: US, UK, Canada or Australia.
- Experience supporting multiple international tax jurisdictions will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of tax accounting principles and tax compliance processes.
- Experience with corporate/business tax and applicable indirect taxes preferred.
- Strong analytical and research skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
- Ability to manage multiple tax deadlines and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle confidential financial and tax information appropriately.
