Role Description The Python Mentor (USA Shift) is a full-time remote role responsible for teaching and mentoring learners aged 5–18 in Python programming concepts, problem-solving, and computational thinking. Day-to-day tasks include delivering live online classes, preparing lesson plans and coding exercises, guiding learners through projects, and answering questions in a clear, supportive manner. The mentor will assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback,



and adapt teaching strategies to different skill levels and learning styles. The role also involves collaborating with the curriculum team to refine course materials, maintaining accurate records of learner performance, and ensuring a positive, inclusive learning workplace aligned with FcC’s educational standards.
Qualifications

Strong Python programming skills, including fundamentals, data structures, and basic algorithms, with the ability to explain concepts clearly to young learners.
Experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring in coding or STEM subjects, preferably with school-age learners in an online or classroom setting.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage learners, simplify complex topics, and encourage questions and participation.
Familiarity with educational technology tools, online teaching platforms, and collaborative coding environments.
