Role Description The Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing and growing the organisation’s presence across social media platforms on a full time, on-site basis in Kolkata. Day-to-day tasks include planning and scheduling posts, creating engaging content, and ensuring consistent branding and messaging. The role involves monitoring social channels, responding to comments and messages,



and fostering online communities that reflect the organisation’s values and initiatives. The Social Media Manager will analyze performance metrics, report on campaign results, and recommend strategies to increase reach and engagement. Collaboration with event teams and program coordinators will be essential to promote activities, share updates in real time, and capture content from on-ground events.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in social media management, including content planning, posting, and community engagement across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.
Ability to create and adapt content (text, images, short videos, stories, reels) suitable for youth audiences and aligned with the organisation’s mission.
Experience using social media analytics tools to track performance, interpret data, and optimize content and campaigns.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and consistent, professional tone.
