Role Description The Senior Buyer (Retail Industry) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities, including identifying product needs, sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring timely delivery to support store and online operations. The Senior Buyer will analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and market data to optimize assortments, maintain appropriate stock levels, and improve margins.



Day-to-day tasks include vendor relationship management, conducting regular supplier performance reviews, coordinating with merchandising, finance, and logistics teams, and ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards. The role also involves monitoring competitor activity, recommending promotional strategies, and contributing to long-term category planning and retail growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience in retail buying or merchandising, with a strong understanding of assortment planning, inventory management, and category performance.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel or similar applications, to interpret sales, margin, and stock data for buying decisions.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, including the ability to build strategic supplier relationships and secure favorable terms.
