Position Overview:
An English Teacher specializing in reading skills plays a crucial role in enhancing students’ ability to read, comprehend, and analyze various forms of English texts. The primary responsibility is to support students, particularly expats and those from non-English speaking backgrounds, in improving their reading proficiency for both academic and everyday purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading Instruction:
Develop and implement lesson plans focused on improving reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency.
Teach students how to approach different types of texts (e.g., fiction, non-fiction, technical documents).
Use various reading strategies, such as skimming, scanning, summarizing, and predicting, to improve understanding.
Assessment & Feedback:
Assess students' reading levels using formal and informal tools,



identifying areas of strength and those needing improvement.
Provide regular, constructive feedback on reading exercises and assignments.
Track student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
Tailored Support:
Work with students who face difficulties in reading, providing additional support through one-on-one tutoring sessions, group work, or specialized resources.
Address language barriers that may affect reading, especially for students from Asia-Pacific or non-native English speakers.
Engagement & Motivation:
Foster a love for reading by introducing engaging texts that align with students’ interests and cultural backgrounds.
Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
Use multimedia resources, including digital reading platforms, to enhance learning experiences.
Skill Development:
Teach critical reading skills, such as identifying main ideas, drawing
