Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer with robust expertise in retail and commercial interior design, technical drawings, material selection and project costing. The candidate will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing detailed drawings, calculating project costs and coordinating with Sales, Production, Purchase and Project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop creative and practical interior design concepts based on client requirements.
- Prepare 2D layouts, furniture layouts, elevations, sections and detailed working drawings.
- Prepare design presentations and material/finish specifications.
- Prepare BOQ, material quantity calculations and project costing.
- Calculate approximate material, fabrication, furniture and installation costs.
- Prepare and revise cost estimates and quotations based on design requirements.
- Ensure designs are commercially viable and within the approved project budget.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Production, Estimation, Purchase and Site/Project teams.
- Review drawings and specifications before releasing them for production.
- Ensure accurate dimensions, materials, finishes and specifications.
- Visit project sites for measurements, inspections and design coordination when required.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding materials, finishes and pricing.
- Handle design modifications and provide cost impact of changes.
- Resolve design and technical issues during production and execution.
- Guide junior interior designers and review their drawings and design work.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion.

Costing & Estimation Responsibilities

- Prepare BOQ/BOM and detailed costing for interior projects.




- Calculate quantities for MDF, plywood, laminate, acrylic, glass, hardware, metal and other materials.
- Estimate fabrication, labour, installation and finishing costs.
- Compare vendor quotations and support material cost negotiations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising design and quality.
- Maintain costing sheets and update them based on design revisions.
- Coordinate with the commercial/estimation team to ensure accurate project pricing.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of SketchUp / 3D Max / V-Ray or other visualization software.
- Strong understanding of retail interior design and furniture detailing.
- Good knowledge of materials, hardware, finishes and manufacturing processes.
- Strong BOQ, BOM, costing and estimation skills.
- Ability to calculate material quantities and project costs accurately.
- Ability to read and prepare detailed technical drawings.
- Knowledge of production and fabrication processes.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commercial understanding.

Qualification Degree / Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in retail interiors, showroom interiors, commercial interiors, furniture manufacturing or interior execution will be preferred.

Salary: ₹45,000 – ₹70,000 per month, depending on experience, skills and industry exposure. Candidate's Can Share Resume & Portfolio - (phone hidden)
