Position Summary:

The Senior Engineer (Bill of Materials) is responsible for leading offshore BOM activities for Morgan Olson and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of engineering product data. This role manages Bill of Materials-related engineering processes, reviews incoming ECOs, orders, and shop order changes for accuracy, interprets technical drawings and engineering documentation, and serves as a key point of coordination between Engineering, Manufacturing, Routing, and other functional teams to support production requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in JD Edwards (JDE).
- Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Release drawings and ECOs within the PDM system.
- Prioritize and process ECOs based on production requirements.
- Investigate and resolve BOM and routing-related issues and discrepancies.
- Support BOM audits on the production line.
- Create installation assemblies and top-level manual orders in JDE.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing,



and Routing teams to resolve BOM-related production issues.
- Review shop order changes to assess cost impact.
- Support and actively participate in Morgan Olsons PPS team initiatives.
- Adhere to the Quality Policy by maintaining a customer-focused approach, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and striving to exceed customer expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 8-12 years of experience in BOM, manufacturing and engineering design environments.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Experience with configurator systems, ERP systems - JDE, or pricing tools preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
