About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to drive process excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement across automotive software development programs. The role focuses on ASPICE assessments, quality governance, coaching engineering teams, and supporting Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform ASPICE assessments across multiple automotive projects covering MAN, SYS, SWE, and SUP process groups.
- Evaluate end-to-end software development lifecycle activities including requirements management, architecture, design, implementation, verification, validation, release, and maintenance.
- Identify compliance gaps, classify findings, and drive corrective and preventive actions through structured process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare audit reports highlighting non-conformities, risks, quality metrics, and maturity improvement roadmaps.
- Define, refine, and deploy software development processes aligned with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO 21434 requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and architects to ensure adherence to quality standards and development processes.
- Conduct internal trainings, workshops, and mentoring sessions on ASPICE, software quality, functional safety, and cybersecurity expectations.
- Support customer audits, external assessments, and organizational quality improvement initiatives while acting as a key quality representative during customer interactions.
Technical Skills
- Robust hands-on experience in Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) assessments and process compliance activities.
- Good understanding of ISO 26262 Functional Safety and ISO 21434 Cybersecurity standards.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), V-Model,
Agile methodologies, and CI/CD environments.
- Experience with requirements and lifecycle management tools such as JIRA, Polarion, IBM DOORS, ALM, and related platforms.
- Familiarity with Configuration Management, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Risk Management, and Change Management processes.
- Expertise in auditing, root cause analysis, non-conformance management, corrective action tracking, and process improvement methodologies.

Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, or Automotive Quality Management.
- Proven experience conducting ASPICE assessments and supporting software process compliance initiatives.
- Experience in risk assessment, corrective action management, quality reporting, and audit preparation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Provisional Assessor or Competent Assessor certification in Automotive SPICE.
- Experience working with ISO 26262 Functional Safety processes and work products.
- Experience supporting ISO 21434 Cybersecurity engineering activities.
- Exposure to ASPICE Level 3 / Level 4 process improvement programs.
- Six Sigma, Lean, or Continuous Improvement certifications.
- Experience supporting customer audits, safety assessments, and cybersecurity reviews.
