Specialist/ Senior Specialist Structures, Offshore Wind Energy

Permanent In this role, your key responsibilities will be to:

- Design steel structures such as internal/external platforms, boat landings, topsides, access arrangements, anode cages, topsides for onshore/offshore substations etc., and deliver inventive and effective designs aligned with project needs.

- Develop layout and general arrangement of secondary steel along with analytical models, calculations, reports and specifications aligned with latest health and safety standards for offshore wind foundation design.

- Lead a team of steel engineers and collaborate with BIM engineers, Project Managers, Discipline Leads and other stakeholders in conceptual, FEED and detailed design projects.

- Participating in knowledge transfer and contribute to technical proposals.

Qualifications

- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil, Structural, Marine Engineering or similar discipline.

- 10+ years experience in design of steel structures and connections.

Experience in offshore wind or oil gas or OSS topsides is advantageous.





- A track record of applying your understanding of structural engineering principles, hand calculations/sketches, and fabrication/construction process to produce efficient designs inline with design standard requirements such as European, NORSOK, American, Indian or any other international standards.

- Ability to work independently and lead a team of engineers to deliver work packages. Good communication skills in English with experience coordinating across disciplines and with stakeholders, both in person and remotely.

- Positive knowledge in review of 3D CAD models in Tekla, Revit, Navisworks, or similar.

- Knowledge of advanced engineering concepts such as Fatigue, Dynamics, Non-Linear analyses etc. as well as experience in a software package such as e.g. Robot, STAAD-PRO, IDEA StatiCa, Abaqus or similar is advantageous
